The DT Max filter system enables you to filter your client list so that only those clients who match a certain set of criteria are displayed in the list.

From the Tools menu, you can select and then define a number of different filters, thereby creating a powerful system for accessing your client database.

A brief description of some popular uses of filters is available here.

When a filter is in use, the name of that filter appears in the drop-down menu located at the top right-hand corner of the client list. This drop-down menu can be used to apply previously defined filters or to disable the application of a filter.

Note that if your database is rather large and you are using a filter which does not let many clients pass through, the program's operations will run more slowly. In such a case, it would therefore be preferable to only use filters when necessary.

T1 only

For T1 only, when filtering by families (i.e., when the toolbar icon is selected), only individuals who match the filter criteria AND who are members of a family where the family head also matches the filter criteria will be shown. It is therefore possible that there could be individual clients who match the filter criteria but do not show up because they are members of a family where the family head does not match the filter criteria.

For example, when filtering by families, if a dependent matches the filter criteria, but the family head does not, that dependent will not be shown. On the other hand, if the family head does match the search criteria, both the dependent and the family head would be shown.

By switching to the individual client list (i.e., when you sort the client list by clicking on the column header of any sortable column), all clients passing the filter will be shown.
